Join our team. A Program Assistant (PA) is coachable, knowledgeable, and committed to making a difference for participants in the Teacher Training. As a Program Assistant, you hold space as a mentor and assistant in our 200 hour YTT programs. Throughout the training, you are a vital source of support for the transformative experience of the yoga students and teacher training Faculty. Feeling in a teaching rut? Who is this program for?
Yoga TeacherS who:
have a 200-hour or 300-hour certification from red lila school of Yoga
are currently teaching yoga classes
want to experience YTT from the other side of the mat - from the curriculum schedule to trainee leadership
are seeking to deepen their teaching skills and enhance their knowledge of yoga
passionately share the benefits of yoga and appreciate connecting with community
enjoy being resourceful and quick problem solvers when it comes to logistical details, and are prompt, reliable, communicate well, and like working in teams
What are your responsibilities as a PA?
Arrive before the program starts and to stay after it ends: Unpack and pack-up materials for the day.
Set-up and break down of the room in between segments of the training.
Support facilitators with the details of program operations during training hours
Engage with the trainees for support: information, pep talks, laughter, whatever is needed.
Actively engage in the curriculum through discussions and feedback
Be a "demo" during modules for assisting and asana curriculums.
Be an example for the trainees through your way of being and presence.
Keep the high morale of the program and support the trainees to stay energized and inspired
Be a mentor for a group of the trainees during the YTT program - available for educational support and checking-in with the trainees for support.
Attend 1 of the monthly Wednesday PM Group Practicums that the trainees have
What is your commitment?
Be present: Attend all of the required sessions below.
Mentorship: Check-in with and respond to the small group of your assigned YTT mentees.
"Grounding Call": 30 minute all YTT Staff program call one week before each weekend intensive so you can learn about the schedule and what is happening.
"Feedback Discussion": With the YTT Staff post-weekend intensives. These hours will be decided as team after you sign-up as a PA

In one 200 hour YTT course, we have two PAs cover the required hours as a team. The dates for each PA include a combination of of all the training hours in order to experience the variety of the program on different weekend days. Each of the PAs carry equal weight and engage in the same commitments. The dates below are to be a PA for our 200 hour YTT Fall 2019.

Note about dates: If there are one or two dates in Position A or B that do not work for your schedule, but you could switch with the other Program Assistant to cover their respective date instead, please note that in your application. At times we can work this out for PAs to switch their schedules with each other. Your position as a PA is highly important to the flow and function of the program so it is our priority to ensure a PA is present during all hours of the program.
PRACTICE TEACHING HOURS
The position requires you to be present for one Group Practicum. The four practicums we have in this training are the following dates and times. In your application you will be asked to note all that you can assist, though you will only end up choosing one to assist.

The value for the learning you receive in this program is over $2,500. This includes all hours for training sessions, pre and post program development phone calls, personal coaching and feedback from the Lead Faculty, our training manual, insights into our training curriculum, the live training curriculum when you are present, training courses from our guest teachers in Yoga Anatomy, Asana Workshops to build your practice, and Goal Coaching, and other unique support for which you may request.
We understand that a common barrier to continued education opportunities is financial reasons. We are passionate about making opportunities accessible for Yoga Educators, and view this opportunity as an exchange of time, energy, and work. Because of this, the cost to you is $0.

This program is available for continued education credits through Yoga Alliance.
All PA's accepted into this program are eligible for 100 CEU credits, which covers all of Yoga Alliance's required three year CEU's in a matter of four months
